Jensen Mierkiewicz
Foster Care Specialist

Jensen was born and raised in Nebraska, then moved to Kansas where she lived with her Mom, Dad, and younger sister. She has a very big family spread throughout the United States, so she is very family oriented. She grew up in a very athletic household, and fell in love with swimming. She swam throughout grade school and high school and eventually found my way back to Nebraska, when offered a scholarship for swimming at Midland University. During her Junior year at Midland University she obtained an internship at the Masonic Eastern Star Home for Children, working as an Assistant House Parent. She loved the work she was doing, and enjoyed mentoring the youth, and became a House Parent. She worked full time until her graduation from Midland University with two Bachelors of Arts; first in Human Service with a concentration in Adult and Family Services, the second Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice.

She currently resides in Fremont, NE and enjoys her days with her loyal companion Moe (the cutest dog ever!). Jensen joined Building Blocks in May 2024, to follow her passion of working with incredible youth. "I love building relationships with youth and adults and offering the structure and support that one may need!"
