Aspen Jansen
Foster Care Specialist
Aspen became a part of the Building Blocks team in June 2025. She is from Hartington, Ne, where she was raised by a single mother and four siblings. She moved to Norfolk, Ne to pursue her education at Northeast Community College. There, she obtained her A.A. in Behavioral Science. She then transferred to the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she obtained her B.S. in Psychology. Prior to Building Blocks, she worked in childcare, working with children of different ages and backgrounds.

She discovered her passion for working with children at a young age, when she began babysitting for numerous families. What started as a way to help out and make a little money turned into a passion. She found joy in building trust and relationships with children, supporting their growth, and being a positive presence in their lives. This experience inspired her to pursue a career focusing on child-wellbeing, leading her to Building Blocks.
In her free time, Aspen enjoys being with her family/friends, reading/listening to audiobooks, being outside, and going to the lake in the summer.
