Sadie grew up in Neligh where she was heavily involved in extracurricular activities. Of those activities, FCCLA was one of her favorites, especially when working on projects like car seat safety checks (in conjunction with Safe Kids of Northcentral Nebraska) and mental health “sick days” for high school students. 

 

She attended Morningside University where she received her Bachelor's degrees in Developmental and Counseling Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2025 and married her wonderful husband in June. 

 

Before she joined Building Blocks in June 2025, she worked for Heartland Counseling Services as a Certified Peer Support Specialist for over 2 years. She is most looking forward to helping children and families to get back to a sense of normalcy within their foster home lives.
