Beth Geer
Licensing & Foster Care Specialist
Beth and her husband David have 2 children: DJ and Hayden. The family enjoys camping, 4 wheeling, gardening, spending time with the horses, and family time with their extended family.
Beth earned her Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Nebraska Kearney. Beth has worked for Boys and Girl Home, DHHS as an RD and as an Emergency Community Support Worker through Region 3. She is currently on the steering/planning committee for Project Connect in Grand Island. She has been a part of this committee for the last 7 years and is responsible for lining up all agencies/service providers that provide same day services to those families in need.
Beth Joined Building Blocks in May of 2015. “I was drawn to this work as I have always had a sense of how important family is and wanted to help others. I enjoy getting to know foster families and helping them through the challenges and experience the joys of foster care.” Beth holds a rather unique position in that she is cross trained to provide the Licensing and Support Services for foster families as well as provide the day-to-day support to the children in care.
