You can make a difference in the life of a child! Many families in our state lack the resources to provide for their children's basic needs. Some of these children have increased health issues such as malnutrition, emotional problems, which all could lead to poor academic performance. Foster Care is provided when a child cannot safely remain in their home. Not everyone is cut out to be a foster parent, but there are things one can do to help children. Please refer to the OPPORTUNITY page to view ways of helping children. Now is your chance to help build a better future for foster children in Nebraska.

Your donation will go towards:
1. Foster Parent Recruitment. Sometimes foster children move and are split from their siblings due to the shortage of foster homes. By recruiting more quality foster homes, foster children will have a better chance of permanence if they cannot return home.
2. Activities and programs for foster parents and children. Building Blocks conducts monthly activities for foster families to help them be more involved in the community. Foster Parents and children benefit by meeting new people and forming a support group of people just like them.
3. Respite Services- Like any other family, foster families sometimes need a break from their children. They don't always have access to a skilled daycare provider or grandparent to provide the care. Building Blocks provides training respite care providers to care for these children.
